Roscommon Museum (2 km) - Housing a unique collection of artefacts relating to the history of the county, the town and its people. Formerly a Presbyterian Church, built in the 1860s. Many items are on display.Roscommon Castle (3 km) - Now in ruins, Roscommon Castle was built around the reign of Edward I, built on rising ground in the North of the town. After changing hands several times, the castle fell into the hands of Cromwellians, who demolished it in 1652.
Boyle Abbey (5 km) - The magnificent restored ruins of the Cistercian Abbey founded in 1161. It is still regarded as the finest of the Cistercian churches to survive in Ireland with the majesty of the south arcade unparalleled elsewhere in the country.

By Car:- From Roscommon Town, at the main Galway Road Roundabout (County Library is the landmark on the left-hand side), take the Galway Road (N63).
- The hotel is located 100 yards along on the left-hand side.
- The entrance gates are recognisable by the original castle style.
